It's a Small World

A few weeks ago I read about Charlottesville's sister city in Italy. I posted about it here. Charlottesville's sister city is Poggio a Caiano, a small town in the province of Prato in Tuscany (Albemarle County's sister city is Prato). Just this past Tuesday, someone told Reed that delegates from Poggio a Caiano are actually coming to Charlottesville June 30th through July 6th to celebrate the 30th anniversary as sister cities. According to a press release, the mayor of Poggio a Caiano, the city councilors for both Poggio a Caiano and Prato, the head councilor for Tourism, and the director of the Prato Tourism Agency will all be coming. Hopefully they'll be able to eat at Blue Light one night!
