Lucca and Il Mulino

We just talked to Doris on the phone and made plans to stop in Lucca to see her on our way from Parma to Siena. Doris and her husband, Doug, own a beautiful hotel, Il Mulino, just outside of Lucca in Tofori. Il Mulino used to be the olive and grain mill for the Villa Torrigiani.

The main building is located on a bridge.....


The hotel is surrounded by woods, a brook, olive groves, and vineyards, with a trail that leads to a waterfall. I know Ollie is going to enjoy this place!

The walled city of Lucca is only 15 kilometers away from Il Mulino....

The town of Tofori is an ancient village famous for the cream-colored church and belltower that is visible from any approach.
